Pack 13 News

  • March 2009 - Pack 13 was recognized as a Unit of Honor at the Historic District Annual Recognition Dinner. Packs must meet several criteria for this honor including Scout retention, advancement, summer camp participation, recruiting, anf fundraising. This was the second year in a row that Pack 13 received this high honor.
  • March 2009 - Pack 13 was awarded the Centennial Quality Award. The Centennial Quality Awards program is designed to recognize units, districts, councils, areas, and regions in achieving excellence in providing a quality program to a growing youth population in America at all levels of the Boy Scouts of America. To earn this award, the Pack had to meet several goals for excellence that were set in consultation with Daniel Webster Council.
  • November 2008 - Pack 13 was recognized by St. Anne's Ecumenical Food Pantry for donating over 500 cans of groceries to help those in need within the local community. The pantry serves the residents of Hampstead, Sandown, Atkinson, and Danville. The Scouts participated in the annual Scouting for Food drive and were able make this sizable donation as well as an additional donation to the Danville Food Pantry. The Pack was given a Certificate of Appreciation for their efforts and each Scout received a Good Turn For America patch.
  • September 2008 - Pack 13 was presented with the National Summertime Pack Award. A pack can qualify for the National Summertime Pack Award by planning and conducting three pack activities—one each in June, July, and August. Pack 13 visited the Franklin Park Zoo in June, attended Lone Tree Scout Reservation in July, and spent a week at Camp Carpenter in August. The Pack received a colorful streamer for the pack flag and our Weblelos II Den received an additional ribbon for attendance of at least half their members at the three summer pack events.Scouts who participated in all three pack events aalso received the National Summertime Pack Award pin, which they can wear on the right pocket flap of their uniform.
  • August 2008 - Pack 13 received the "Ye Scout Spirite Award" during their stay at Camp Carpenter in Manchester, NH. As stated on the award, "The unprecedented amount of Scout spirit which you possessed this week has caught the attention of the Nobility. As such, we bestow uopn you the much coveted Scout Spirit Award." The 2008 Camp Carpenter theme was knights and castles.
  • July 2008 - Pack 13 received several awards during their stay at Lone Tree Scout Reservation in Kingston, NH. The Pack was named Third Place Champs for week 2, Second Place Champs for week 3, received the 'Hawks n' Rocks Award for Spirit and Helpfulness, and the Handicraft Award for Creativity.

  • March 2008 - The Historic District of the Danial Webster Council, Boy Scouts of America, named Pack 13's Susan Hantman Committee Chair of the Year for 2008. Susan was presented with the award at the District's Annual Recognition Dinner.
